The San Francisco Film Society is renowned for the wide international scope of its programming; it is part of our mission to spread that global appreciation and awareness to the next generation. This enriching series of international films exposes students to the lives and experiences of their peers in other parts of the world and helps them develop a keen understanding of the true global landscape.

Interactive discussions will take place at each screening with special filmmaker guests, and study guides will be provided to teachers to help prepare students in advance and provide follow-up questions, activities and resources to help integrate each film’s content into the classroom.

All of our programs are designed to be interactive experiences rather than passive viewings, so students are expected to come prepared to ask questions of filmmakers and special guests and to participate in post-film discussions and Q&A.

New events will be posted here as they are scheduled, so check back regularly. Or sign up now to receive our email updates and be notified automatically. Just email kzwolfer@sffs.org and ask to be added to our teacher mailing list.
