San Francisco Film Society and ComcastSF have joined forces to produce SF360 Movie Scene, the only television show devoted to showcasing the variety and excitement of the San Francisco Bay Area independent film community and scene. Each month Movie Scene features filmmaker guests, the latest news about local film festivals, discussions of repertory programs, art-house films and much more. SF360 Movie Scene, hosted by Rod Armstrong of the Film Society and Cheryl Eddy of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, premiered in February 2007 on ComcastSF–Channel 11. A new SF360 Movie Scene premieres on the first Monday of each month and is rebroadcast the following Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday on ComcastSF–Channel 11 and Bay Area–wide on Comcast’s Hometown Network.
February 2008 SF360 Movie Scene features interviews with Halfdan Hussey, the founder of Cinequest, and a Cinequest ’08 filmmaker; Jeff Ross, director of SF IndieFest, and an IndieFest filmmaker; Colin Farrell and Martin McDonagh, the star and writer/director of In Bruges; and guest critic Jesse Hawthorne Ficks, joining hosts Cheryl Eddy and Rod Armstrong for a report on the Sundance Film Festival.
