Sound! The Movie
 Midge Costin, Bobette Buster, Karen Johnson Few comprehend that 50% of the cinematic experience is created by sound. Building on the pioneering sight-and-sound discoveries of such iconic filmmakers as Lean, Hitchcock, Welles, Leone, and Ford, among others, this documentary will feature the first generation of recognized Sound Designers - including Walter Murch, Ben Burtt, Gary Rydstrom, and Randy Thom - who endeavored to design a movie with sound before a frame is shot. We will show the collaborative relationships between Sound Designers and visionary directors such as Coppola, Lucas, Spielberg, Scorsese, Lynch, Lasseter, Bigelow, and many others, by entering their creative realms, via interviews and clips from their movies, and demonstrating how great sound design transforms the cinematic experience. | When making a fiscal sponsorship donation with a credit card, 3% is deducted from the donation amount to cover the merchant account processing fees.
