THE SCRIPT
Collider documents the 72 hours after three super collider physicists believe they might have created a strangelet, a subatomic particle capable of converting all matter into lifeless energy. As they struggle to confirm their findings, our scientists must wrestle with issues of responsibility, guilt and the consequences, both to science and to the people around them.

THE SCREENWRITER
Josh Zeman has been creating independent films for over 10 years. His directorial debut, the critically acclaimed horror documentary Cropsey, premiered at NYC’s IFC Center. It was a critic’s pick with numerous outlets including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Variety and Roger Ebert. It has been called “one of the year’s best documentaries” and “one of the scariest films of the year”.

Zeman is currently prepping his first narrative feature film, Whippoorwill, which focuses on a well-respected journalist who agrees to interview a family of right-wing extremists in a standoff with the FBI.

As a producer/co-producer, some of Zeman’s past credits include The Station Agent, Mysterious Skin, The Hawk is Dying, Choking Man, and Against The Current. He recently executive produced Ceremony, starring Uma Thurman and directed by Max Winkler. The film premiered at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival and was released by Magnolia Pictures.

In the short form, Zeman recently directed a teaser on designer Nicola Formichette for Fashion Week. He also directed The Best Man for The Job, an 11-min dramatic short starring David Call (Two Gates of Sleep, Tiny Furniture). Zeman’s first screenplay, Fresh Kills, was optioned by Fine Line Entertainment and Forensic Films.
