Copublished by the San Francisco Film Society and indieWIRE, SF360 is an online publication and social network designed to strengthen and promote the San Francisco film and media scene in all its various and exciting forms.
The SF360 internship offers a three to six month opportunity to learn about both the film industry and publishing on the Web. Interns are asked to participate in weekly meetings with the SF360 editor to create content for the SF360 Web site, which covers Bay Area filmmaking and viewing, as well as video, new media and games. Responsibilities include assigned tasks in photojournalism, general research, Web posting and writing film features. Specifically, intern duties include looking for daily Web links for the BITS section, posting events on the Web site, attending a minimum of one film/video/media function a week to take photos (own digital camera is a plus), researching ideas for features and writing one to three features per month. Ideally, the intern will gain the skills necessary to post an entire week of SF360.
Skills
Need a flexible, energetic, detail-oriented intern who can work comfortably with time-sensitive assignments. Great writing skills and film knowledge are essential. Computer, Web, and digital photography experience are helpful. Familiarity with social networking sites is a plus.
Hours
16 flexible hours per week. Most work is remote, with weekly or biweekly editorial meetings.
Benefits
