Digital media interns will assist the digital media coordinator in preparing video and audio to be used in promoting screenings at the 50th San Francisco International Film Festival. The end products will include film clip programs for theatrical screenings, video and audio podcasts and PowerPoint presentations. Software used may include Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Flash, PowerPoint and FileMaker.
Responsibilities
The duties of this internship may include:
• Dubbing and transfering films, trailers and clips
• Digitizing media from screeners on DVD, VHS or Beta
• Keeping records of digitized material
• Using a FileMaker Pro database of Festival films
• Watching screeners and annotating clip times
• Compressing clips for the Web
• Sending clips and other materials to out-of-house editors
• Creating PowerPoint presentations
• Assisting in the creation of audio podcasts and online slide shows
• Assisting camera crews creating footage for the Festival
