The Film Society is looking for a high energy, dependable, organized, team-oriented person. It is an excellent entry-level opportunity.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the executive assistant and executive director, the executive office intern will be responsible for:
• Updating and expanding existing FileMaker databases
• Coordinating Festival mailings to executive office constituents
• Assisting with SFFS event planning and production
• Assisting in general administrative support
• Interfacing with Film Society board of directors, consulates and donors, requiring a professional demeanor
Qualifications
• Minimum part time commitment 15–30 hour week
• Detail-oriented, able to take instruction, take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
• Professional demeanor. The intern represents the Film Society when speaking with Film Society constituencies.
• Must be outgoing and have a friendly personality.
• Must be able to express oneself clearly, thoroughly and politely.
• Must be able to work some evenings.
• Must have the ability to multitask, exhibit consistent follow-through and work under time constraints.
• Proficient in Mac OS, knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and FileMaker Pro a plus.
• Access to vehicle preferred. If intern does not have vehicle, must have valid driver license and insurance.
• Fluency in English required.
